Banks? What are they good for?

Today in the mail comes a new debutt card. Why ??? Mine is good till 2012. Wifey calls to see about this, and the bank tells her a couple of YEARS AGO our cards were compromised.

A COUPLE YEARS AGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if the card is compromised, why did the bank send just one? It is a joint account.

WTF is this BS? That dammned card better work at the gas pumps or i am gonna go postal!

Having a wife that worked in banking in past years, their logic is sending the cards on different days to prevent theives from stealing both cards at a given time. I suppose the other card will arrive in a day or two?? Couldn't the theives check back regularly?

But more importantly, compromised years ago? Now that is just plain whacked. Wow, that's discouraging.....wonder if you lost money during that"compromise"?

Our bank sends out the new debit cards on the same day but in different envelopes. Banks have all of us by the short hairs anyway. Can't live with them and can't live without them.

I didn't know that. I guess it makes sence to mail on different days. I don't know if I lost any money, but I tend to keep just gas money in the bank and the rest hidden in my socks. Be a wicked tuff mug to go pokin in my socks. My foot size is just 10's but my boots are 18 inches tall. Even my socks don't like bein' my socks.

Yeah that 'Couple of Years' thing has me pestered up bad. If i recall the Shop N' Save around New England took a millions of cards hit about 2 years ago. Everyone around here got new cards then. Some crook in the slavic countries somewhere got inside the system.

That is the only time i know of my card could have been compromised up by a crook. I don't buy anything on line just ask poor Gary O abought that. Geese what a mess i caused in a foreign country.

I most definatley do not belong in the 21st century.
