I drank the kool aid (now with pics)

Well everybody......I traded for a Harley.....i wanted a lighter bike with more power to use around town and for riding to work daily....I got a 2010 softail custom 6 speed......its great around town and has lots of power...it is more manuverable than the Nomad and so much more nimble...............

However, before anyone bashes me too bad (even though I set it up) I didn't trade the Nad for the harley....I would not do that....I enjoy the Nomad too much....the harley can't compete with the Nomad for a long haul road bike, but face it the Nad is a little heavy for day to day use and riding to work...the softail is more fun around town, and while the Nad looks good in its way the softail is old school and a little more flashy.

Each bike has its pluses and minuses, but they are different bikes for different purposes....I won't be getting rid of " The Reverend" anytime soon.

That Kool Aid is heap strong medicine, hard to kick, like tobacco.

A friend bought a Sportster for sprinting around town. I could feel the Kool Aid when I saw it. Fortunately I am old and have plenty of experience with denying my temptations.

Enjoy your new ride. Glad you kept the Nomad to prove your sane. :)

Yeah, we need to. I have a couple of nice little rides I like near Grandview.

I go to Corsicana fairly regular. Wife and I are members of a Camping Square dance group. We RV several times each year over at Lazy L RV park in Silver City and also at American RV in Corsicana. This weekend we will be in Murchison.

We are retired so the wife and I cruise often in pretty weather. We actually live in Egan, address is Cleburne. I will PM next time we are headed that way. I have a Gmail.com address. Bill1400

Like to see that new ride.

thanks
A little bit on ther Nomad and if this is a HD question tell me if that is cable or hydralic. You can tell by if it has moonshine in a rez on the bar mount or a cable.

If it is a cable not much, a very little bit, as in time the cable will grow longer. But both need free play.

I need to know which bike yer tawkin about.

I am currently living in a travel trailer at American RV until we sell our house down south so that sounds good....let me know when you are down this way

Thats great when you can have a couple bikes to choose between, Id love to be able to do that but up here the insurance is just too expensive for the average guy to be able to do that.
Enjoy the new bike. ;)
