Question for fairing owners

I was wondering if any of you guys notice an increase in MPG when you went to fairing from windshield. Or decrease, for that matter. In pictures looks like wind resistance might be lowered quite abit.

Just curious, not fishing for justifications to give my wife. Nothing like that. ;)

Question for fairing owners

I'm curious to find out myself. My fairing arrived yesterday. I'm a couple of weeks away from getting it on the road. I'll be sure to post any change (+/-) in mileage.

Question for fairing owners

I doubt you will find any difference in mileage one way or the other. But its a lot nicer riding into a headwind with the fairing. You don't get beat up by the wind near as much.

Question for fairing owners

I only rode mine about 75 miles before I sent it for paint didn't get to check mileage but can't say the bike felt like it was working any harder but I will say you could put on a lot more miles a day behind it I found the bike to be much quieter and the calm air pocket was nice no bobble head, the fairing seemed to pull you forward and took all the strain off you arms felt like you do when you pull up behind a semi and the draft starts pull the bike faster even if you lost a few mpg which and I don't think you will, the trade off in comfort will soon make you forget about it

Question for fairing owners

I put my fairing on about a month ago and haven't noticed any change in mileage. Even if my mileage dropped a bit with the fairing it would so be worth it! I can't imagine having a bike again with a fairing

The only bike I would like to have without a fairing would be a Bobber ;)

Question for fairing owners

I did not see any drop in gas mileage at all but did notice less mileage on me.
