Safety Ride

My unit went on a safely ride today. The ride was a total of about 170 miles. We started at Fort Polk, drove through DeRidder to Kinder, where we stopped at the casino to have lunch.

There were over 50 bikes with about a third of them being sports bikes.

Today was a great day of work.

That day of work must have been complete hell! Looks like a nice mix of bikes.

Brings back fond memories of my time spent at Fort Polk. Sounds like you guys had a great day and ride. Great pictures also.

When riding on a military installation, the HI VIS clothing/vest is a requirement, at least for service members. It is part of the PPG (gloves, shoes above the angle, DOT helmet, long pants & shirt, HI VIS shirt/vest).

I remember those HI VIS vests. I was stationed at Ft Hood in the early 90's.

Patrick, How's the food at the Kinder Casino? I've been wanting to take a ride around Toledo Bend on both sides of the border.

Nice color bike Skipper.

Now... back to the thread...

Sounds like a tough-day at work... I just couldn't imagine having to ride for a day's pay...

Cajuan,

The food at the casino was good but not great.

By the way, I was riding through your area Sunday. I took a ride from Fort Polk to Ville Plate to Alexandria back to Fort Polk. I was tempted to stop in VP to some of that food you talk about during one of your trips.

Maybe next time.
