HJC IS16 Helmet

Bought a new helmet. HJC IS16. For those in the market, give it a look. Reasonable price ($180) so not bottom of the price scale, but also not in the high end, has great vents, has a fabric under the chin to stop wind noise, and the big seller is a drop down sun shield that pops back out of the way with the touch of a button. I think it will be great on winding roads at dusk and dawn or times on the freeway when the sun is straight ahead.

After trying a couple on I was also amazed at how much the padding in the old helmet had loosened up during 80,000 miles. Made me kind of glad the latch broke. It was time for a new one!

HJC IS16 Helmet

April 1 I went to my Honda, Kawasaki dealership and purchased the HJC IS-33 helmet. It wasn't quite as pricey as the IS-16 you purchased. I only paid $128 plus tax. It is a great helmet and the padding is great. Is a nicely vented helmet and kept my head cool today on a 118 mile round trip ride. The temp was 84 or so during my ride. It has the flip down shaded visor and I used it all day. Sure beats having to wear sunglasses. I give the IS-33 an A+ rating. I am sure the IS-16 must be really nice also. Forgot to mention that the comfort level was incredible.

HJC IS16 Helmet

This is the helmet I was after HJC IS-2 "schade" really like the sunvisor feature. Unfortunatly the "schade" version is not available in Canada. However the pink "flora" one is, but felt it would clash with my skin tone, so I passed.
Found an EXO-100 like new so went with that, very nice helmet.

HJC IS16 Helmet

You should contact some of the riders that live south of the border and maybe they could purchase for you and ship to you or you guys could even ride and meet each other.
