I just saved a bunch of money on my insurance

You have heard the commercial, but I really just did save some. When I was at the International bike show I filled out a from with Gilbert RV Insurance for a quote. It never hurts to shop around right. Well they sent information in the mail and I had it lying around for a month or so to check on it when I got time. I called them today and purchased bike insurance, full coverage which I did not have through State Farm for $167 for the entire year paid in advance. I was paying State Farm a little less than that for 6 months for liability only. Standard policy 100/300, 500 deductible for comp and collision with $1k for added options like chrome and radios.

If you call tell the nice lady (Karen I think) that you read it on the forum, I told her I was going to pass it along.

There number is 888-784-6787 the under writer is Progressive.

Im looking for a new insurance carrier myself since my old company is not offering bike insurance anymore. I was paing $485.00 a year for minimal coverage . So far a quote here is $907 year. Im still looking, and we dont have Progressive or Geico in Canada. It looks like they are going to stick it to me again.

Hey Ring, do you have "Canadian Direct Insurance" out there? I can't quote what I pay but they were a lot cheaper than others here on the west coast, and far below the cost of our I.C.B.C. full gov't insurance . Try googling C.D.I. insurance or Canadian Direct Insurance.

I'm using JEVCO, not sure if it's available in the East but full coverage squeeky clean record $644 yr. which is crazy expensive compared to the US.

I don't think Jevco's in Ontario any more either. We don't seem to have a lot of choice here anymore.

Check out www.ridersplus.com

I'm in Ontario and they were the cheapest for my Nomad. $880 a year for liability and fire/theft (no collission).

Up until last week I had everything with Economical but switched to RBC for my car/house and RidersPlus for my bike. Saved about $700 for the year.

I recently got my renewal from Jevco, $1400, up from $1045 last year !!! I am going with Riders Plus for $897. Still a lot compared to what you guys in the U.S pay.

I just saved a bunch of money on my insurance

I got a quote back from Riders plus today, $837.00 for full coverage, $769.00 with no collision, and $698.00 with no collision or fire & theft.
Im still waiting to here back from the others.

I was with Economical but the house and car rates were to high, so we went elsewhere for that, and they will not insure a bike unless they have all your business.

Wow!

You north-of-the-border guys are insuring a single bike for only a little less than I'm insuring 2 cars!

My bike is less than $200 with Progressive.

What DO you pay for a single car?
