Motolight....Excellent Product
First off, I'm a skeptical consumer. There are few products that can live up to their claims. For years I have tried to get by with inexpensive light sets mounted to the freeway/crash bar. After losing several sets of lights to corrosion I finally broke down and bought the lights I had been watching for years. Their primary customers are Law Enforcement officers. After trying them for several months I can report they are everything that was claimed. They come complete; with a very thoroughly thought out lighting kit. Everything is included, relay, cable ties, lighted switch, wire harness, fuse block, anti-seize agent, adjustment/aiming ring.....I mean everything! They are machined out a single piece of aluminum, in a brushed finish to match the Nomad's forks. The bulb has a separate heavy lens with a silicone o-ring gasket seal to stop water infiltration. Great thing is they point where and when I'm turning. The bulbs are warrantied for life for the original owner. They are a great product that performs as advertised. Overall, an excellent upgrade mod!

They do look well made and functional. I hate having some product that doesn't do the job its supposed to do. I'll bet they really light up the road well.

I have the Kury Silver Bullets (large) and they have held up well for three years. However, they don't see much rain and the bike is always garaged. Those lights look like very nice units and will probably last as long as your bike. I prefer to have the driving lights higher than axle height so they are visible sooner when coming over a hill. So I mounted mine on the top, outside of the crash bars. The lower mounted lights sure look cool.

They do look very well made and seem to be very bright from the pictures. Interesting concept being mounted on the calipers. I've never seen them before but I haven't really been shopping for lights.

I was not sure about the caliper location at first, but I don't notice much of a difference from the crash bar location after some use; except when I turn in the dark. Then the light is where I steer, not where I point. The light put down range is better than the (Optronics) lights I was using. The light pattern doesn't bounce or vibrate. The tri-angle pattern is more elongated. Drivers don't pull out in front of me when making right hand turns or in front of me when making left hand turns. Customer service from Motolight is top notch; thats cuz the owner (Tina) answers the phone. I should point out that I have no connection to the business; just wanted to share a top performing product with Kawanow members.

They do look nice and seem to make the bike stand out well in the dark.

Those lights make sense.
Years back I remember being told that the cagers see our lights but seem to gauge our speed wrong. That's because the separation between the lights gives a person an impression of the mass coming toward them. Light separation on most cars is what they are used to. Light separation on the big trucks is greater particularly if they have bottom driving lights and cab lights on. It's an inpression of greater mass. So more cagers pull out too soon in front of bikes because their brain sees them as further back or coming slower. Those lights you have give greater separation from the headlight so, an impression of greater mass. And they project good light too. Cool!!

My friend and riding buddy has those on his BMW. They are exceptional lights. He had to lead the way when we got caught in the dard and heavy rain on a trip last year.
They are expensive though.

If you look at the cost of a lightbar they are not that far off. I was thinking could Kuryakyn spots be mounted that way??

The Kuryakyn lights are 35 watt stock. Can you upgrade to 50 watt Kuryakyn? You'll need a bracket or clip of some kind. Also, do not use low grade bolts.
I like the location for the reason Hammer mentioned. The light bars with the lights next to the headlight do not improve a bike's visibility too much. I have had that fact pointed out to me by non-motorcyclists. As for the cost, I guess its pay once and cry or pay again and again and cry each time. It is a small price to pay for your safety and its a product that will last long enough to transfer to other bikes in the future.

I may try smaller spots down low for the visibilty. I used Harley reflectors on the front so the original refector mount is free and I was not sure what I was going to do there. This post has certainly sparked some thoughts. Thanks.
