Well I did it.........New VN Owner

The owner and I were able to come to terms that were acceptable to both of us and I am the new owner of a 2005 - 1600 Vulcan Nomad. It is Blue/Silver. It has the following add ons: Handlebar Risers, Mustang Saddle, Headlight Visor, Luggage Rack, and Chrome Drive Shaft Cover. The mileage is 13,800.

Here she is:

I don't need to tell you guys that I am stoked

Thanks again for all the help and information!

John

Congratulations; Its looks really good. You got some nice features on it , such as the Mustang seat. and there is still lots of things you can add to it as time goes.

I am sitting here in the cold north waiting for some decent weather so I can go to Tennesee to get her. I am sure it will be a nice ride back even if it's cold. I am trying to find a deal on airfare (oneway) and then I will go and get the bike. Thanks again to all for helping me spend my money

Nice catch jrd. Nice looking bike, althought the 05 black & silver are faster lol. Mustang seat is a nice option. I had one on another bike and it was much better than stock. Good Luck with the new ride!!

Good choice on model year and color.

The fun begins, even considering your prior experience.

Silly you. Everyone knows that green is faster than black!!! Green is the color of money and it takes money to go fast.

Hey, the 2004 Nomad 1500 in blue & silver was the absolute pinacle of Nomad production. They were never quite the same either before or after.

The 1600 is still a great bike, mind you, everybody loves them and with good reason: it's the second best cruiser Kawasaki ever built. But most of those folks never had a chance to ride the 2004 Nomad 1500.

(Hmmm.. perhaps this deserves it's own thread. )

Anyhow, congrats on the Nomad, John. This is going to be one of the most trouble-free bikes you'll ever own.

And you bought the best color as well.
