Rode 775 miles last Tuesday!!

Left Daytona last Tuesday at 6:00AM pulled up in my driveway (Central MS) at 11:15PM, 775 on the trip meter. These bike are as comfortable as any out their. Was riding with 6 Harleys, only 1 of them broke down, thought that was pretty good.

Wow! 18+ hours on the road. The longest I've done so far is 9.

Hope you had a great time.

Congratulations!! That's a lot of time in the saddle and a respectable amount of mileage for a one day of riding. Especially with seven bikes rolling together.

That is also a good primer for an Iron Butt "Saddle Sore 1000" ride (1000 miles in under 24 hours)

http://www.ironbutt.com

With a little planning and just two or three bikes you can get the 1000 miles down to 18 hours. Anything over three bike causes fuel stop to become to long.

Thats a pretty good ride for one day, the best I have done is about 500 miles in a day. And I was happy to get off the bike after that ride. mind you that was just going for a Sunday ride with no real purpose or destination in mind.

Good for you! Having ANYBODY to ride with is a big help. Have to stop more as the day goes on if I'm by myself.
Oregon in July anyone?

What a great ride! I chalked up 625 in 12 hours last summer. I thought that was a lot, at least for me. Yes, the Nomad is a great long distance ride!

That's impressive!! My longest single day so far is Indy to Hotlanta, in upper 90 degree heat. I agree; I've had many Harleys, and these are at least as comfortable as any comparable Harley!

There is just as good a chance as me knocking off a 775 mile day as Nico keeping his Nomad...NONE!

The most I have ridden in one day was in the high 800s.
Went to Sturgis in 06 on a 04 Ultra Classic, my butt is still hurting from that trip, 5200 miles in 8 days! I always ride with friends and we all have CB's to talk to each other. You would not believe how fast 100 miles can go by when your talking to each other. Also I train everyday for long rides. I average 200 miles a day in a UPS truck, the seat is like sitting on a concrete block.

Longest rides I've made on the Nomad have only been 500 mile days. I've ridden 910 miles in one day on a Suzi Volusia and look forward to that kind of a day on the Nomad. I'm sure that it will be much more comfortable and a lot easier to do.
