Rear speaker ideas
I am going to be buying a fairing for my bike, with a stereo and 2 fairing mounted speakers. I'd also like to have 2 rear speakers mounted on my tourpak. I know I could use a set of HD speaker pods, but they are upwards of $300. I don't want to have to blow that kind of green just to have rear speakers, but I will if I can't find a reasonable alternative.
So I am asking for input from anyone who might have or know of alternative methods of installing rear speakers on a tourpak?

I was thinking of installing the HD pods on my Tour Pak and may still, but after talking to three of my pals who have them on their Ultras they all said that they do not make a noticeable difference in the sound. What does work better is mounting a pair of speakers in the glove boxes of the lower fairings, if your going to install them.
I have never really used the glove boxes for storage so I wont be missing them if I decide to mount speakers in them.

Oh yeah, like they do on the Ultra Classic? I hadn't thought of that. If I ever do go with lowers, they would be the ones made by xncrman, and I have no idea if there would be a way to mount speakers in them.
But, I'll bet I could come up with some sort of speaker mount on the crash bars, maybe like they use on wakeboard towers on boats, or I could even build a set out of some driving light housings or something. Good idea. Anybody else have any ideas?

My wife says that if she wanted to talk to me or listen to music we would sell the Nomad & just sit on the sofa. I agreed, so we still have the Nomad.
