New USA KawaNOW logos...love 'em or hate 'em?

There's been growing talk about the new logos I designed for the USA regions. My thinking in the new design was to make the logo colors as close to the country they are from.

Since most countries use red or blue in their color design, I decided to design red, white and blue into the USA regional logos. I've been getting mixed reviews on the US design, so I'd like to get your feelings.

Be honest and let me know whether you think the new design should stay or be redesigned. You won't hurt my feelings anyway you vote.

I will leave this poll up for 8 days, then it will automatically lock. I ask that only KawaNOW members in the US vote on this issue. You will only get one chance to vote, no retractions.

Also, if you vote "No", please leave a post in this thread and give me your opinions on how it should be redesigned. This will give me some guidance if the logos are to be revamped.

I like them just think we need a different color for the letters on the outside ring. The white letters get lost in the white stripe. I like the design though.

I don't necessarily like the old one better but I do like the idea of each region having it's own, that way when we are together as a group like at the Nationals we can tell which region everyone is from.
But if we keep the new one several people have mentioned the white letters on the white stripe, would it be possible to have 2 stripes a red one and a white one on the outside with blue letters just my 2 cents worth.

Personally I don't like the outside ring, old or new..... too busy, too repetitive.

Would rather have generic KawaNOW logo with rocker under it designating region. Regional rocker could be separate or attached.

The new design doesn't look bad, but could use a good tweaking... I agree with dkdixie. The regional name going around the outside makes it look too busy and difficult to read by glancing, especially the bottom, where the lettering is upside down. While I like the concept, it's confusing and presents as "busy" to the eye. I like the idea of the color scheme of the rings though. My suggestions in any particular order:

- Make the rings thinner to give the lettering more visual punch.
- Set the regional name at top and bottom, but not all the way around, especially where it's upside down at the bottom. Make that right side up, which would leave more room for the Colors at each side.
- Maybe try a different font/color scheme for the lettering....on second thought, no. There's already a lot of color in the logo. White works best I think.

This is similar to how I feel. The outside is too busy. It doesn't seem to fit well with the rest of the logo.

I like the idea of having a generic logo with rocker under it!

I like Oldbikers idea for the outside rings, red & white with blue letters. I think the region shown only one time at top would be less busy like dk dixie said And finally the riders state in the rings on the bottom or as a seperate rocker, that part maybe a logistic pain in the exhaust and not worth the trouble it would be in manufacture and shipping. Having said all that, finding this many selfless, positive and helpful folks in one place in this country today is out standing and I'm proud to say I'm affiliated with this group no matter what the patch looks like.

First I applaud you for putting it to a vote and not being offended, Trip.
I voted no but I actually like the red, white and blue rings.
The problem I have is with the lettering. Too busy looking and I don't care for the white letters.
My opinion is;
I would get rid of the yellow ring. Too much contrast.
Keep the red , white and blue rings but change the letters to yellow.
Put the region name on once at the top and once at the bottom. Keeping both right side up.
The state would be nice but I'm afraid it would add to much to the cost. Maybe a rocker like someone suggested. We could purchase that seperate if we wanted.

I agree that the outside rings of red, white, and blue with white lettering is difficult to read.

It would seem that a red and blue circle with white letters; or any combination of two colors with the letters being the third color would work better.

PS: I would be hesitant to any rocker-style design.

I sort of like the wings on Dan Lund's design. This would look good on the back of a vest. Also, it might not get us killed by the outlaw bike groups since it's not a 3 piece patch.
