Stebel Horn- Here are the factory instructions

I bought one of the Stebel Nautilus Air Horns and the wiring kit. Here are the actual instructions and wiring diagram that came in the package. I bought it from Biker Hiway. It arrived fast!

I thought if any of you were considering buying one these may be of interest to you.

I have not installed mine yet.

Good Luck!

Thanks Schoeney. I was thinking of ordering one but wanted to see what all was involved to install it.

I am a wiring neophyte and it took me about 30 minutes to get it all together and working. It is a snap.

Yeah, I'm going to order one of those pretty soon. Even though I think the stock horn isn't too bad. A Harley went by me the other day and when it passed me the horn let out a little Road Runner "BEEP BEEP" that sounded pretty wimpy compared to mine. But still I'd like to make sure I get someone's attention when I need to. Jamie

Hey Schoeney (or anyone)... Did you get the compact Nautilus? Do you need a mounting bracket?

Hi Markus,

Yes I did get the compact Nautilus. I need to make a bracket...the OEM bracket on the 1500 just doesn't seem stiff/strong enough to dampen vibration.

I think I am going to mount it like CJ's.

On the 1600's, you can use the stock mounting brackets from what I've read. On the 1500's, you need to make one or buy something. I went to Home Depot, got an L bracket, cut off part of it, painted it black and mounted the horn on it.

Thanks Schoeney and Coach. I ride the 1600 so I should be good. I'll probably order the compact this week.

Do you need to purchase the deluxe wiring kit for the horn?

Gary- Biker Hiway...same as Markus.

Al- The deluxe wiring kit is highly recommended. You can make up your own but why bother for $10 you can have it all ready to go.

Advanced Auto also carries these horns. Cost is a little more than Biker Highway; around $50.
