Lake Elsinor Loop over Ortega Highway

Dave (Harley owner now) and I took a nice 200 mile ride loop to Tom's Farm, which is a big biker hang out, for breakfast this morning and then found a little know route over the mountains west of Lake Elsinor.

Normally the only way over the mountains is the infamous Ortega Highway. We found this "road" that could barely pass as "pavement" and took it. 50% of the time we were in first gear as this "road" snaked for an hour up and down 10% grades missing or trying to miss potholes. The weather was near 100 and hot.

When at Tom's Farm we came across a group of Boss Hoss motorcycles! Here are some pics of the ride:

This one had a Factory Chevy 572 big block racing engine in it and if you look near the right front of the engine you'll also see nitrous!
