Tires again (sorry)

Had a set of Metzler 880's put on yesterday. The only rear size available is 180-70-16. On the way home from the shop the bike felt a little tipped forward. Has anyone else experienced this and do you just get used to it over time? Thanks

I went from the stock Bridgestones to ME880's and while the 180/70 is taller than stock, I didn't perceive any "tilted forward" feeling. You will get used to it, and take some comfort in knowing your speedometer is now more accurate.

Tires again (sorry)

I have the same tire. For me, it has its good and bad. I haven not noticed the back end being higher but it truely is.

Straight down the road the tire is quiet and smooth. I noticed a very slight drop in power, but a nicer cruise at 70mph due to the slightly higher gear ratio. Like CJ said, the speedometer is much more accurate.

The down side for me on the Metzler 880 is the tire has a tread vibration caused by the rain groove on the tire. Riding straight up the tire is smooth and quiet. Lean the bike in either direction and I feel the tire tread grooves causing a slight vibration in the seat.

I am going to the darkside on my next rear tire.

I installed a Metz on the rear of my Boulevard(which my girlfriend rides)and she says it is much better then the stock Stone that came on it.I just ordered new a front tire for it and she wanted a Metz there as well.

It would seem they Avon Cobras are the MC tire of choice for the Nad.

They are now. A while back the Metz were all the rage.
I had the stones, didn't get good milage. Then went to the Metz, noisey as hell but got 12,000 miles out of the rear tire. Of course it was showing steel belts all the way around
Have cobra's now. Seem to be the best so far. May try Elite 3's next time just for sh*ts and giggles.
