hello everyone my name is mike, i just got a 2000 nomad, a step up from my vtx 1300, i am excited to get on it and ride,, how do all of you like the nomad, and any tips on dos and don'ts about the nomad thanks

Its a Harley Tour Pak and a Premeux Fairing and lowers, its a great combo for long trips, in types of weather.

To say we love our Nomad's is an understatement. Do: look around because there's a lot of great information. Don't: ride like Nico (you'll see his name often), he has a problem keeping the rubber side down.

Congrats bustagut. You'll love your bike. I few things everybody notices at first. Engine noise..you will hear a lot of sounds that you did not hear on the VTX....probably all of them will be normal including noisy cold start ups. Its normal. You will get some helmet buffeting at about 70mph if you dont have larger lowers. Spend a few days cruising this site and you will find many other "personalities" of the Nomad that make it the greatest cruiser around.
