Handlebar Risers
I have an 02 Nomad that I purchased used last year. The handlebars are on risers that are 3.5 inches from the triple tree to the bottom of the bar.
My question is what was the stock height? and what experience do you have with risers that not only raise the bars but also bring them back toward you. any help is appreciated :) Login or Register to Remove Ads |

My stock risers are 2". I went with Phat II's which provide about 2.5 inches pull back, (you can really tell the difference) Although, after testing "Cactus Jack's, I think I would have been just as happy with Chuckster's for half the money.
Being a "newbie" also, I just guessed what would work best for me. There's alot of info on here about risers. |

Chuckster's or Phatt II. Both are good but Chuckster's are a lot cheaper. I'm going to convert after I get my new seat.

I went with the Phat II's and they're good. I kinda wish that I had sought out a handlebar that would give me the rise and pull back I needed. Then I could have mounted a windshied bag. I haven't found a windshield bag that will work with the risers.

So, I guess what you are telling me is that my 3.5 " risers are about an 1.5" longer than stock. I purchased the large lowers from chuckster and they work great at controling the turbulence around my helmet at high speed.
Thanks for the replies. |

I have the Chuckster 2" on my 05. I am 6'2" and felt the stock set up put me in a weird position. This is more relaxed for me.
I may look at bars that are similar to the harley Heritage Softail bar. For me, it is comfy.

I had 3" Chuckster risers, but wanted more pullback. I now have Phat II risers. IMO, pay the extra $ and get Phat IIs if you really want some pullback.
