If Nomads could talk...............

This is what I expect my 1600 Nomad would have said to me as we took our last ride together............"Why are you doing this

? Have I not been good to you? We have had so much fun together, seen the oceans, the mountains, the plains, and oh......all those pictures from vistas and overlooks. Come on now, I've never broke down, in the 150,000 miles we have never needed assistance. I know you guys like the young ones ::)but I'm only FOUR YEARS OLD! What have I done wrong? Is it my drinking problem, I know you have spent more money on gas than you paid for me brand new but I do love those premium blends, I just can't help it. Please don't do it, the dealer will understand and give your deposit back (not), I don't want to sit in some used bike corral, no body will shine me. :'("

It was a sad day indeed, the end of a man/bike relationship is tough, right up until riding away on my new VOYAGER ABS

. It's been great, I'll pop back in here occasionally to get my Nomad fix but Voyager and I starting what I hope is a new love affair with a month-long tour along RT66, up the Pacific coast to BC, play in the Rockies and who knows where after that.

I am really looking forward to seeing a Voyager in person and up-close. Non of my local dealers have theirs yet. Wonder why they took the "red" off the market? Keep us informed on your likes and dislikes of the Voyager.

On the bright side somebody might get a deal on a used Nomad, and another love story begins.

It's not so bad when you get drop kicked to the curb.

Nice thoughts man. After that many miles it would be a bit sad. Too bad you couldn't swing it to keep both the old and the new.
Hey if you're up in BC be sure to drop me a P.M. and let me know when you'll be up here. Maybe we can hook up for a ride. As long as it isn't in the middle of June. I have a trip planned. I hear there's a rally of some kind in Custer.
