South Central Region Name

We had over 50 names I picked out what I felt were the top 10 names for the poll if you saw a name that you think should have been here then let me know and I will put it in the poll. To give every one a chance to vote the poll will end next Saturday at 07:00 AM central time.

I will get with Trip he is going to design us a logo after we settle on our name, I don't think it would be to hard to get a patch made and if enough people are interested I know a silk screen painter I can talk to about making us some t-shirts. ;)

I do believe the Nomads is the name of a biker gang in the Western United States. Are you sure there won't be a problem using it?

I have a little info for you. There is a club chartered by the State of Missouri called the Road Runners. The club went belly up back in the 70's but the charter is still valid. We tried to revive it a few years ago but can't find the oringal charter to do so. I don't know what the legalities are for us here in MO to just assume that name and use it.

I highly doubt we'll have any issues since we're not using rockers... the name (right now as votes have it ) the South Central Nomads will be contained within the KawaNow Logo... thus removing issues. When people start using rockers and such is when a problem "CAN" arise.

That is why I suggested Nomad Riders instead of Nomads. I didn't know if there was an outlaw MC with the name Nomads. But like JussMatt said, if we don't use rockers, we should be ok. When we checked with the Amigos about using rockers for the local MC (Iron Ravens) they said we could use a top rocker, but not a bottom rocker. They said three piece colors were for outlaw bikers only. I have since noticed that the LEO MC has three piece patches with both bottom and top rockers, but I guess they feel safe being law enforcement officers.

I believe Rick, Teresa, Liz and I are still recovering from our 3 week trip out west. Liz has me building the frame for her fairing. Rick is plumbing at his son's house. Not much parting going on right now.
