Greetings,

ARKON 1.25" clamp. The Garmin mounts pop right on...
I have two of these, one on each bike. She has a NUVI 2555LM and I a NUVI 65xLM
We both use this mount...

Ride safe,
Smokier

If you use one like that, tether your GPS. It can detach quite easily, from a pot-hole or a thief... I have a Ram mount for my own old Garmin Nuvi, a 2597LMT. Ram make a holder to fit that model exactly, and it's a much more robust solution.

If I'm off the bike for lunch, I just hang my helmet over it. If I'm away for longer, I lock away the GPS somewhere. The mount itself is fairly tamper-proof, and I had no issue leaving it on the bike in 15K miles around the USA last year.

I use a Ram mount, ball that clamps over the bars, 3" arm and the mount for a Garmin Nuvi50LM, solid as a rock. I bought a mount for my smartphone so I can change from one to the other...........Mike

Here is the Ram Mount X Grip. Works well with a variety of devices. I have used this one with 5 different devices; Nuvi 360, nuvi 2597, smartphones...Note 3 & Note 5, Droid Bionic , over the last 4-5 years.

No problems but I did glue the little rubber holders on to the metal arms with some Gorilla Glue as a precautionary measure.

I used the RAM Mounts for my Garmin 2720 and my NUVI . just changed base for each unit... As posted the other brand should be fine as well and I assume the Garmin Nuvi base would fit the mounting ball if the do not offer a NUVI base

The Ram X Grip fits many sizes so you don't need to keep buying model specific brackets. One size fits many.
