do you get any strang sounds from your nomad when at idle or while sitting still

YUP, Sounds like a thrashing machine when it's cold, but it's the nature of the beast. It used to whistle through the gas tank vent, but I fixed that. Go to Gadgets Fix It page, there's a section on what noises Kawasaki V twins make. There are also many ways to get rid of some of them.

The noises give it character

It's like it's talking to you ;)
I left my gascap whistling. When someone asks what the noise is I tell them it's my Nomad whistling, because it is so happy I am taking it out for a ride.
I read this comment on here someplace and liked it so much I use it as if it were my own.

the whistle sound get s my german shepard attenion he goes and set down and looks at the bike . rode the wings so long not use to the noise but sure enjoy riding the nomad
