Advanced riders course

Hi folks,
I haven't been on in a while on the forum, but after this last week I had to share my experience. In my quest to keep on improving my riding skills, I stumbled on this site: http://www.northwest-motorcycle.com. I took their course in Portland even though I had to ride 650 miles to get there :)
This was an incredibly satisfying experience. You learn how to really handle a bike, from tight maneuvers to emergency breaking to obstacle avoidance. If you were looking for a short one week vacation that will actually benefit you after it's over and not just be some pictures you are left with, this is it! An intense course of over 40 hours in the saddle with really great and incredibly patient instructors...

I know this sounds like an advertisement but the fact is that I had a blast taking this course and thought that some of you may be interested

I saw the video's on their site. Man do they teach you tight turns. Looks like a very nice training.

Yes, tight turns are part of it, i was able to do u turns in 15 feet with their kz1000 police bikes. They use the motorcops training course and at the end of the week you are tested with the same benchmarks as the motorcops. Aggressive breaking and escape, aggressive counter steering, and the cone pattern course with 17 patterns which you need to complete in 3 min 40 sec or less. This was an incredible course, at the end I couldn't believe the things I could do.
