This trailer is for sale locally. I believe I can get it for the 250 range. I have not taken a look at it yet. tires look more like lawn mower utility trailer type.. what do you guys think?

I would be scared of those tires running highway speeds. Maybe they are different than what I can tell in the picture. They do like like riding lawn mower tires. If that's a 4.80 x8 boat trailer type tire with lug nuts it should be fine. Nice looking box.

I think I read about one of these on the Delphi Motorcycle Trailer Towing forum the other day. As long as those tires can handle the speed, you should be okay. For that matter, you can buy trailer wheel/tire assemblies at Walmart for not much $.

You can always upgrade the bearings for highway speeds.

It looks ok to me, but check the tires for highway use before you blast down the interstate with it.

For $250.00 I would buy it even if I had to change hubs and tires and then I would sell it as I have one I built last year I don't use.

Am I missing something? Look closely at the hitch. There is a diagonal brace running from the left side of the frame to the coupler. Where is the diagonal brace on the right side?

Maybe it's the angle of the picture.

It looks like a "Y" shaped tongue to me.

If I were to go for a cargo trailer in that price range, I'd seriously consider building my own Harbor Freight/Sears Cargo Box rig. Would run about the same and you would know what was in it.

The tongue appears to be too short in the picture, and the box may be too far to the rear. Stability may be a problem!

I'm not sure what the problem is with that trailer? $250 is not the least out of range as you would spend more than that and here you have a base unit to start to modify to fit anyone's needs. IMHO Looks like a nice set up for a cargo trailer.
