Anybody ever tried thease?
I seen those before, it seems like a heck of a good price if they are any good. Just yesterday I went to the dealer and bought one pair of pads for my bike, they cost me $61.01 with tax. These where the EBC brand pads. I just replaced my rear pads, and those EBC pads lasted 20,000 miles.

At those prices I could replace the pads almost 4 times, as long as I can get at least 5000 miles a set I'll break even. If I needed all the pads, I would certainly try them once to see how they are. It says they fit 04 and up but they look identical to the ones on my 02.

I just got mine in the mail on Wed. They look OK. The dealer here wanted $34 a set. I ended up buying the rear set from him, because I needed them in a hurry. I was in the middle of the tire change and swingarm, driveshaft service. I'll probably install these in the near future on the front. I'll let you know how they perform. They look OK. Although, it is amazing how thin brand new pads are. I'm not just talking about these. Even the ones from the dealer are...

I was surprised that my original rear pads had to be changed at 18K mi. Have 43K on my VN800 and still in good shape with the originals and ride them the same way. Nad's must be undersized for this size/weight of a bike, or the 800's are oversized.

The rear pads on my 05 Nomad had less than a 1/16th left on them at 37,000 kms. Just replaced them with OEM.

Stock rear pads - 20,000 km's Nomad
Stock rear pads - 8000 km's Drifter EBC rear pads - 12,000 km's Nomad EBC rear pads - 14,000 km's Drifter - not close to worn yet? Average wear on pads from previous Venture's - 30,000 - 35,000 km's - seems these Kawi's are harder on rear pads than other bikes? However, front's don't seem to wear alot on the Nomad or Drifter ( even thou I use them 95% of the time) as on the Venture when rear gone so were fronts! On my 76 GL100 it still has stock pads and it's got 30,000 km on it. |

Well I find myself using the rear brake a lot to stop. And I'm guessing the previous owner did the same. But good grief I've done the same on other bikes and these are the first brakes I've had to put on one! Let alone the STICKER SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was wondering how rear pad wear was with those riders who practice the Ride Like a Pro techniques. I would figure the rear pads would wear faster in those situations.
