Spring ES Rally on Mother's Day Weekend

I understand the Kawanow South Central Group Eureka Springs Rally is on May 8th, 9th, & 10th. We had a good time last year and I hope to go again, weather permitting. My loving wife of 36 years reminded me that it was Mother's Day Weekend.

I felt a little blindsided by the info. Maybe this info may help some of you look more considerate than me and allow you to beg for forgiveness in advance.

Last year the Riders Rest motel was full and we stayed at the Howard Johnson's just a 1/2 block away. It was clean, nice, and cheap. $45 on Thurs and $55 on Friday and Saturday.

My son hopes to come along with his Vulcan 900 Classic LT. We are just waiting to see what the weather will do. 900 miles round trip is too far to deal with continuous rain.

Hope to see everyone there. Wife's dog (Ms. Bea) plans to ride again too.

My wife has already stated what a better way to spend Mother's Day, doing what she loves to do, RIDE HER BIKE, eat out, not cook, do dishes or laundry. The perfect Mother's Day gift!

My mother and my wife would rather me go to ES and have a great time rather than sit around and talk on Mother's Day. Anyway, I plan on being back early Sunday afternoon, anyway.
Got room #7 reserved for Friday and Saturday nights at Rider's Rest Motel. Plan on getting there around 2 or 3 Friday afternoon. Hope to see y'all there.

I did not realize that it was mothers day weekend and I am afraid it is way to late to change now but I talk to my wife and she thanks it would be a great Mothers Day so I am hoping it works out for every one. In the next few days I will post the itinerary for the rally and will tell you now that Watchman has taken on the job of sitting up and overseeing the rides but he is going to need tail gunners and maybe a rider leader or to so if you want to help PM Watchman or Myself and lets all have a great time. Mrs SWB noticed the Mother's Day connection some time ago, but since she's coming along, all will be good.
