I don't care what the calendar says

Old man winter is hanging on with a vengeance in the northwest. Snow, heavy winds with gusts to 50mph today. I know we need the moisture and for that I'm gratefull but holy smoke this is getting old. I would sure settle for a little global warming right now if you know what I mean.

When I look at the news reports from the upper mid-west with frozen and flooding rivers and more snow on the way it sure makes me wonder just when this will all break.

Okay, I'm done whining now.

I hear ya Idaho.
Cindy and I finally got to go for a SHORT ride yesterday. It was 60 degrees and no wind. Still snow on the ground where I live but 10 miles south it is bare ground.
Anyway, I say SHORT ride because I did the usual pre ride maintenance after winter. Oil change, tire pressure etc.
Well it seems I forgot to screw in the oil cap/dipstick on Cindy's bike :-[ About eight miles down the road she says,my bike smells.
I guessing that was from the oil flying out and landing on her exhaust pipes
So that ended the riding season till we get a new oilcap/dipstick as hers was nowhere to be found.

I think the term "Global Warming" is no longer used its now "Climate Change".....

But yeah... man I am ready to be able to go for a ride beyond down to the gas station and back.......its getting close, all the snow we got yesterday through last night is starting to melt fast..... I'm hoping for a ride next weekend. Maybe

Know what you mean Idaho. Rode last Sunday and after that we have had 4 days with off and on snow with one of those dumping between 8 and 10 inches.

Amen to that. I haven't ridden since November 18, and it is driving me absolutely nuts! I was hoping for a ride by April 1, but I don't think that will happen. We might get more snow tonight and tomorrow.

I know how you feel.

We've been below average temps for the last month. Winters snow has barely started to melt.

It has snowed here ALL DAY LONG. Starting to pile up and drift in the driveway. I'm sure that tomorrow will start with the snow blower. Again.

Hey Idaho - I see your BK - I'm with Idaho I - are you with III?

I agree about the weather - this wind is blowing me away. I enjoy my skiing but the snow line keeps getting lower in the hills on the west end of the state?

Bosko, I guess you can always keep on rolling it around your garage? You're a hoot. Wish you were part of the South Central Group. You sound like you would be a lot of fun (to talk to and ride with). Keep 'em coming!

Yes, I'm the Chaplain for Idaho III. Also a State Police Chaplain. Who do you work for in Boise or are you retired?

I've been to the spud run a couple of times but have decided to pass it up this time. I do get to Boise occasionally on my Nomad in the summer. If I do I'll try to get in contact with you.

Are you going to the rally in Custer this summer? Let me know, it would be nice to have someone to ride with across Wyoming. I plan to leave here Sunday and ride to Riverton, then meet up with a bunch of the NW guys in Buffalo and cruise into Custer.

That's okay, make fun for now. This summer when you southern boys are sweltering in oppressive heat and humidity us northern rockies guys will be enjoying the cool days.

No I'm still active with Ada County - I have about.....heck too many to count on my PERSI. I'm not headed to Custer this year unfortunately. I'm headed down to Ouray and Durango right neat then along with a ton of other rides. I offered to lead a ride of the Spud Run for the out of towners that are coming in. I think I'm ride captain for the Lowman Loop.
