How many of you have to Cardo Scala Rider Teamset? I don't need all the bells and whistles of the Q2...just an intercom to the missus and the ability to hear my GPS directions...both of which the Teamset does. They are available on Ebay for as low as $142.00 plus shipping.

Anything good or bad to report on this product..?? Thx... !

I had the teamset before Cindy got her own bike. Now we have the Q2 system.
If you can get the teamset for that price jump on it. They are a quality intercom. We never had a problem with ours. Sold it to a couple we ride with.
One thing, if you do get it don't try to use it in your living room. They don't work well there. It works best when riding and there is back ground noise.

Thx TC...I too thought that was a good price. I just ordered a set and it was $150.40 with the shipping! Hope this eliminates the neck straining trying to communicate... !

they are great Netnorske, you can talk to your wife and not take your eyes off the road. I consider my intercom one of the best investments motorcycle wise I have made.

Hey Kris, how do they hook to the helmet? You don't wear a full helmet do you? Won't you need to at least wear your zip in ear protection for cold weather riding? For the earphone speakers I mean. That could get warm in the summer couldn't it? Just wondering. I had to have a full helmet when I rode my Venture with the full intercom syst. now that I think about it.

Rick,
We have both 1/2 and 3/4 helmets. We will probably only be able to use these on the 3/4 helmets. On long distance rides we will probably use those anyways and I will keep my half helmet for solo rides around close to home.

Scala Q2 great, use mine all the time with my wife pillion, no bad points from me. I have a couple of helmets with a holder mounted on each, just swap the main unit between them depending on which helmet I want to wear. Good battery life, use all day before a re-charge.

rickyboy, Cindy uses her headset with her half helmet without the cold weather curtain. You just mount it close to the bottom of the helmet.
phot, where did you order the extra holders? Right now I have to swich the whole unit when Cindy doesen't want to wear her half helmet. Would like to get another holder so I can just swich the unit.

Thanks T.C. I'm going to look into a set maybe. Can I tune mine to the same channel as another rider who has his own set? Separate from mine?

Rick, I don't think so. You can only talk to the passenger with the teamset.
The Q2 unit comes individualy. You can pair it with 2 other Q2 units but that's all. Even then you can only talk to one of the other units at a time, not both at the same time.

Doc, not sure what you consider a half helmet but this is my, what I consider a half helmet. The lowest part comes about a third of the way down from the top of my ear. I could use the intercom with this helmet.
I don't use this anymore as I want more protection so I wear a full face.
