Tinting Windshield

I'm considering a mild tint on my windshield and lower deflectors. Anyone have a negative thought or experience? Welcome ya's or nay's Thanks

Yeah, on all the window tint I've ever seen, it states to tint only glass, not polycarbonate or acrylic surfaces. I read why it isn't advised but can't remember the exact reason. If I can dig it up, I'll post it.

Tinting Windshield

A couple of years ago I put a red tent on the lower portion of my windshield. I used a translucent rattle can to do it. Just the lower portion of the shield. There are directions on Gadgets site on how to do it. Unfortunalty, up here in the cooler limes of the PacificNortWet the rattle can spit out at the shield and I wound up with a bunch of little globs. From a distance it didnt' look too bad. But up close it looked like crud. Was glad to change the shielf out last spring.

Since it doesn't say anywhere on your profile what year bike you have I'm guess 1500 ;)

Cleaview has a windshield that comes with a light grey tint

here's the link for the 1600 in case I guessed wrong the first time

probably better to buy tinted than trying to tint yours IMO.

+1 on that

Check out Rifle Fairings. I ordered a replacement windshield from them and they were great. They have three tints available. The only thing is that for '05 and newer the windshield size changed and the site does not reflect that. I ordered a custom size to get the size I wanted. Even if you want stock size you will need to order larger than the web site's "stock" for the '05 and newer. Measure from the top of the headlight cutout to get the right height. The Rifle shields are a bit thicker than stock too just for your info.
