Need a little help....

Allright, I feel like an idiot. I uploaded some pics of my new bike on Photobucket, but I can't seem to put the right link in the avatar URL. How do you find out what to put in there? All I can get is a blank avatar. And what if you want to put pics under a message? I looked at the Q@A and just can't seem to find the exact characters. Thanks. Jamie

I e-mailed Trip a pic of me and my new bike and he put it under the member directory. Don't look at the guy behind the bike, he was getting over a sinus infection, it was in the high 30's and misting raining with 20 mph winds. He wasn't quite 100%.

I can never remember which line under the photobucket pix to use either. So I try them all 'till I get the right one. You can go back and edit your post and delete one link and insert another. Do the same thing in your profile till you get it right. Good old American trial and error.

I believe its the last one at least thats what I've used. My problem is trying to resize the photos some time it works some times it doesn't.

Jamie for your avatar URL you must reduce the size to no bigger than 100x100 the save it to photo bucket. Click on it in photo bucket and highlight the ID url copy this and paste it in your profile for your avatar. as for pictures just copy the img complete and paste hope this helps as I am not very good with computers so if it is wrong just remember I am from Mississippi

To put a pic in your signature line or in the body of a post you just need to put it in this format:

{IMG}http://www.photobucket.com/yourphoto.jpg{/IMG}

Use the square brackets [ ] instead of the curly { } ones.

When you move the cursor over a photo in photobucket a little drop down opens up. The very bottom line in this drop down has the url of the photo with the brackets and the IMG stuff. Just copy and paste this line is the easiest way to do it.

The avatar box doesn't use the brackets and the IMG stuff.

I use the second one from the top: "Direct Link".
