I grew up in Tucson and will always love the desert...nothing beats a desert sunset.

I lived there for less than a year and loved it. I figured I'd go back sometime. I figured I would have gone back already.

I love it here, but my wife hates it. I find a certain beauty in the desert - the barren, harsh landscape, the unforgiving environment. It can be miserable (and downright deadly) in the summer, but this time of year the desert is quite green and soon the wildflowers will bloom and all will be right with the world.

That said, I lived in Utah for most of my life and think it even has Arizona beat as far as scenery and geographic diversity. I only have a problem with some of the people there. ::)

Only experience with Arizona right now is Phoenix. Not impressed. However, pictures of the northern part, I think I would enjoy that region.

AZ is great! I moved here here in 2001 after teaching for 29 years in California and have never looked back. We live in the White Mountians of Eastern Arizona only 14 miles from the New Mexico border. The roads here are the best motorcycle roads anywhere I've ever riden and I've riden all over the 11 western states. Love riding Utah, Colorado and New Mexico also. Now looking for a second home in Tucson so I can ride all year round. Trout

I like riding in the White Mountains, too. I need to do more of it. It's nice up there in the summer and a lot cooler than the Valley.

And don't forget the sunrises. I lived there a year myself when I was a kid. It's on my list of MC trips ;)
