another sucessful bafflectomy

yesterday i had a crack at doing the baffles on the nomad and boy am i glad i did. it only took about 15 mins to complete and has really made the bike sound like it always should have. it has a nice note now which really rumbles when you trail off the throttle im glad i took the advice off here to do it as it has really made the bike...

Good job madcow. The only thing I regret about doing mine is waiting as long as I did.

Right on!

I was happy with the de-baffle but somehow it's still not quite the sound I'm looking for. Price was right though.

Next step..........V&H baggers. Have you watched the videos Cheriann posted, here's the link. http://kawanow.proboards77.com/index...ad=7552&page=1

They sound great.

it all worked neatly as i used the drill i use for concrete drilling with a steel bit on the end. i also inserted a broom handle and cut it off flush with the end of the pipe instead of making the special dowell thingy shown in the thread. im very happy with the note for the time being but i can see a dutch bypass coming along when im used to the sound.

Cool ...... Glad you got it done.....I was on the fence about doing mine but now I'm glad I did it.
I actually bought an extra stock exaust system (full system) on E-bay for $75 + shipping incase I did not like it....But I do like the sound.
Mean while, I have gutted the converter That came with the system I got on E- Bay and am going to put the gutted converter on eventually.
I have everything I need to put everything back the way it was.

it should be standard to have it done before joining this site.... dont worry if you dont like the sound (you will love it) as you will be able to weld the bafles back in if you need to, as you only cut the weld through to remove them..
