Is he a myth?

While at the Int'l Motorcycle Show this past weekend, I got to meet Nightrider and his wife. After shaking his hand and introducing myself, Bob said, "Ahh, you're Trip...you are for real".

I laughed and told him that yes, I was for real. So, Bob's comment got me to thinking.......over the last year KawaNOW has seen a number of new members that probably haven't taken the time to get to know me and the history of KawaNOW. It also got me to thinking that maybe....just maybe there are others in KawaNOW that think I'm just a virtual administrator.

So, I write this just to reaffirm each of you that I am real and work behind the scenes on a daily basis to make sure KawaNOW is here for you when you need it. I'm not one of these admins that likes to butt his nose in every conversation. As big as KawaNOW is getting, it's hard to keep abreast of every conversation on every thread...but I try. I like to listen more than I talk, which is probably why many of you don't know me that well.

I'd like to encourage all new members to get to know me better and learn about my mission for KawaNOW by reading the About KawaNOW web page at http://www.kawanow.org/about.htm and feel free to take a look at my personal website at http://www.hilliard.ws . Also, if you haven't looked at it, you can learn all there is to know about the KawaNOW Forum at http://www.kawanow.org/forumfaq/forumfaq.htm .

Also, feel free to learn about and get to know Jeff (Socwkbiker) Platz and the KawaNOW Moderators at http://www.kawanow.org/staff.htm .

In conclusion, I'd like to say thanks to Nightrider for spurring my thought process and giving me a heads up. Although I wasn't able to attend any of the Regional Rally's last year, I will be at the National Rally this year in Custer....come hell or high water. I would love to see as many KawaNOW members there as possible and I look forward to meeting all of you and shaking your hands.

My virtual door is always open to all of you. Feel free to send me your thoughts and constructive comments. I thank you for being a member of and supporting KawaNOW.

"KawaNOW and FOREVER"

Trip

Trip..your're going to have to prove that your "real" to us Canadians by showing up in person with your ride in Canada. See you in the spring when the roads are rideable. Until then..hmm..maybe your real and maybe not..hmmm..lol. My place is yours if you show up and heck...if you do..I'll treat you to whatever you want made for the nomad in the shop..deal?? Geez..I don't think you can turn down that offer...Bdog..oh yeah...thanks for all you've done on this site.

I wouldn't either but, the deer around here say he's real and have even put their stamp of approval on him.

I even looked for Trip at the Kawi area of the show Sat. No luck. Well, at least no-one that looked like the pictures. Hey, you didn't cheat in Photoshop, didja?

Hey, if you saw a tall guy with a black Skagit Powersports long-sleeve tee on, that was me.

You didn't say Hi neither. Ann and I were hurt, disappointed and crushed. Hell, we felt so bad, we had to go for a long ride Sunday to get over the blues.

Is he a myth?

Trip is real...just like Santa, the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy and a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow...that is what the unicorn told me.

I can just see about 50 guys showing up at Bdog's place saying, "Hi. I'm Trip and I'm here to take you up on your offer to build something for my Nomad."

When you look at the stuff Bdog makes in his shop, you will understand why!
