Army Son Headed For Afghanistan

Well....after he came home 4 weeks ago from being gone to Hawaii for 3 years he is shipping out in December to Afghanistan to a CASH unit (similar to a MASH unit). He is at Fort Campbell processing now. Didn't get to stay here long. :( :(

Oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sweetie i am sooooooooooo sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pray for that day to never come, but if it does, I pray for his safe return back home to you!!!!!!!!!!!

Please tell your son that he will be in my prayers and thank him for the freedom that we have!!!!!!

Hold on to him as long as you can and take lots of pictures so that you may look at them until he comes back home to you!!!!!!!!!

We could always talk with him by his cell phone while he was in Hawaii....does anybody know..?I've a feeling it will different in Afghanistan that we probably won't be able to talk. :-/

When I was in Iraq our Battallion (about 1,000 guys) was given a satelite phone and they kept it rotating and I got to use it once. I have a feeling you'll be able to hear from him on occasion but not nearly as frequently as you'd like to. Wish him the best.

May he be carried safely on the wings of angels and may God bless him every day until he is home again, safe.

I'm sorry to hear about your son having to go over. I know the feeling, I'll be sending my middle son to Iraq, for his third tour next week. Hopeing all will go well for them both. I'm beginning to get tired of this war.

Thanks Al for your service in Vietnam also.

I've kinda got the funk about this right now. It will suck not being able to talk to him much...I know I'm just being a whiney mom.
I have to say one thing. He has really matured since he's been in the Army.....moma has been impressed.
