Shaky front end
My tire pressure is fine and the tires only have about 3k miles on them but my '08 nomad feels like it wants to wobble a bit sometimes when I hit little bumps or divots. I just feel the handle bars want to shimmy for a sec. when I hit little bumps. I will sometimes ride at low speeds and take my hands off the bars and see what will happen and the shimmy will only be there for a moment but then it becomes even. Anyone else had this problem?

Your steering head bearings may be a bit loose. It wouldn't be the first time Mawkaw has set something up wrong. Get your dealer to check them.

I had the same problem for awhile. Then I went to higher tire pressure front + back. 40/40. I have stock stones. The additional pressure seemed to get rid of the surprise wobbles but the obvious ones (cracks, tar snakes, etc) still remain.
The other thing is I got better about maintaining speed when crossing snakes/crakes...I pretty much ignore them , I don't decellerate anymore and try to keep my head/focus up and farther down the road. seems to help.

Hi Mac,
Yes I am looking forward to the day the Stones need to be replaced. I have 6200 miles on them so far. Light cupping on the rear but should be good for a few thousand more. I have read lots of comments about tires on KawaNow and think I have settled on replacing with Dunlop Elite III's.

You can drive down a road snake and your bike wont move with Avon Cobras fitted.

I've been having the same thing with mine. I plan to get the steering head bearings checked out too.

If I let go of the handlebars from 40 MPH or so I would get a shake in the front end as I was lowing down to 20 or 25 miles or so with the stock stones. Other than that no issues. (Not a real bad shake though). New Cobras on the bike now but haven't tried that yet. Don't think I'll have that issue. I'll try it the next time I get out..........if I remember. (Short term memory loss)..........

Like lomax said its probbally your steering head bearings. I just replaced mine and torqued everything to spec and the same problem your having I was having also and they all went away. Also when you put the front wheel on read in the repair manual how to tighten your front wheel when mounting. I have worked on bikes all my life and never done it the way this manual says to do it but it works well no frontend wobble at any speed. if you dont have a service manual you can try here. Fix this problem and fall in love with your bike all over again..
