Nomad owners..Ponder on this..humm..

I have climbed all over/under the new 02 Nomad that I bought last month...and I have a question about the tail pipe area...you know the area just in front of the left tail pipe where it makes a right angle turn out of the catalytic converter box and goes to the muffler..there is an area there that is just wide open...you can see the converter clearly from the side of the bike..BUT, if you look closely, there are BOLT HOLES, I believe three of them, spaced around and in front of this vacant area...It would seem that there may be a bolt in cover for this open area..or other versions of the Vulcan may have a cover for this area whereas there is no left tailpipe to deal with...any ideas...??

I think what you may be seeing is where the rectifier bracket bolts on some of the other models that use the same frame configuration. I could be wrong, a learned all kinds of things from going through the Roadhouse Dooley instructions about Classics and Drifters.

Since the Nomad's share frames with the Classic Models I would guess that one frame fits all!

......vv
There is no piece made to fit in and fill that hole. I have seen some pics of homemade pieces and in fact, I have a piece of stainless material sitting in my garage and is part of my winter project list. Here is one example.

Yes there is something missing! Especially with aftermarket pipes. I've noticed the mounting holes and I'm waiting to get new pipes this winter. Then my intentions are to make a tool box for that area. I was thinking about using 5" round aluminum pipe with hangers mounted to it...hmmm just a thought...Bdog
