Trailer hitch rattle

This is a question for those who pull trailers with there bikes.
Any suggestion on reducing the rattle between the hitch and receiver? Have tried electrical tape, but hitch will not fit in receiver with even a single wrap. Any ideas will be appreciated .

I bolt my hitch into the receiver. No noise.

Coincidentally, there was a similar question posted on the Delphi Motorcycle Towing Forum today. ???

Anyway, either bolt it in like the simian suggested or drill a hole on the bottom of the receiver tube and have a nut welded over the hole, then thread a bolt through the nut and use it to hold the drawbar tight when it's in the receiver.

My new hitch came with the nut / bolt assembly already installed? Beats me!

Trailer hitch rattle

Mine's homemade and will rattle a little if I leave the ball hitch in it. I just slide mine out of the receiver and leave it in the trailer when I'm not using it. It doesn't rattle when it's hooked up to the trailer. The welded nut and bolt should solve the problem if you want to leave the ball coupler in in the receiver.

I don't get any rattle's when pulling the trailer. When I get to camp I just pull the pin to remove the receiver leaving it in the coupler of the trailer.

My hitch doesn't rattle. Thanks, Chuckster! I don't ride around with the hitch ball attached and no trailer, though - maybe that's why.

A guy from Penticton B.C. Canada. He has them on E-bay also - very well made! Cost of shipping from US has got out of hand! All of the carrier's are now charging extra fee's for everything!
