Excellent Book for everyone

In response to one of my posts I was given a link to an excerpt from a book that I found so good I bought it.
It is called "The Essential Guide to Motorcycle Travel"

I highly recommend it for everyone. It has many sections of information and tips.
It talks about clothing and dressing in layers for wether and gives examples of real brands that you can actually purchase. It talks about lighting and gives wiring diagram examples for things like extra fuse blocks and relays. It goes over adding accessories, riding in bad weather, trailer towing, and even getting in shape.
It is very persistent on safety in all sections.
I have found it very informative and was surprised at how much I "thought" I knew.

OP,.....more info. is always a good thing. My 84 yr. old Pop always says "never stop learning".

I was most impressed by the fact that the author actually goes into detail on instruction for some things and gives brand names and recommendations for some things. I haven't finished it yet, only about half way through. There is an entire section dedicated to lighting that is really good reading on how light is measured from bulbs and how to find the brightest light for the power used. I learned that you don't judge by watts anymore.

Dale is a great person, and writes good stuff. He gave me a ton of advice, and even advised me to get my straps somewhere else (he has his own shop) because they had a packaged deal that he couldn't match.
