New Tires

I am amazed at the price of new tires for my '07 Nomad. The dealer where I bought the bike wanted over $600.00 for a set of new Bridgestones. I ordered a set from JCW's for $315.00. Was that a good deal or what!!??!!

It seems like a decent price, up here the rear tire alone was $240.00 last season.

Bridgestones, aren't they on our bikes now? I'm not sure but if so people are trying to avoid them.

I thought I read a post here recently where Dunlops are $270 delivered.

You should be alarmed at how your dealer is trying to rip you off. $600 is waaaay too much for a set of tires.

Nomad tires installed are on the expensive side. That $600 figure has been mentioned before here but is a little high. I get Metzeler 880s (considered by many to be better than the OEMs) for a little under $200 each and pay $40 each to install. It can be done cheaper.

I replace the rear with a Dunlop E3. Tire, mounted and balanced for $200. The front will be something aroun $170 to 180 when I have that put on.
