First Long Trip

I am going on my first long trip (1000+) next month. I know 1000 miles is nothing to many of you but I have only done some 300 milers so far and nothing more than one night. We are going into Western Canada (don't know details yet) and I hear it can be cool in them there mountains in September. I am thinking I want to get heated grips or heated gloves. Don't need bells and whistles as I am a "hit one button" guy...don't like to fiddle. Just want to hit the switch and feel the heat. Anyone got suggestion? Easy install is a must.

.....schoeney .....Maybe late september might offer temps that are cool enough for wanting some heat in the mornings but mostly September is nice here and sometimes quite warm. Enjoy your trip up here and when you have your route planned out, if it comes anywhere near me, maybe you have time to hook up for coffee or sumpin'. :)

A good pair of gloves are good enough for me till you get below 40 for me. Daytime driving is generally not a cold one for me. Night time has been the coldest. Drove at night one time and the temp was just under 50. Swore up and down it was freezing.

Tour Master makes a great winter glove. Much easier than new grips. I wear them down to 32. I stop then because I am nervous about ice on the road. I've ridden many all day rides in the 30's with these:

I was asking about Winter Glove Recommendation over in the Vendor's side & was told about these gloves. I "goggled" them & found they come with high reviews. I also found them for as low as $80.99 w/ free shipping. I have done business w/ Dave at The Helmet Source & I do recommend his store.... my $00.02...-Rich

Thanks for the input on the gloves...that might make more sense.

Lomax, thanks for the input. I will let you know if we end up anywhere close.

I've heard the heated gloves are over-rated. Hope you have a good trip... Ride safe
