GOLDWING REPORT

Well guys and gals. I know that I am on the Nomad forum but when I sold my Nomad you said I could stay so here I am with a report on the new WING.
First: the only thing I had to get use to was no rumble from the vance and hines. Other than that it is so sweet, so quick, so fast, so smooth and absolutely mind boggling when it takes the curves like it is hooked to a rail. You would not think that a bike that looks this big would handle like a crotch rocket on the curves but it truly does. I know that with the fairing and the bags and the trunk it looks big but I swear it is easier to maneauver than the Kaw. It has a reverse but I don't ever use it, it is no harder to push back. I am not a speed freak but just like anyone else I like to get on it occasionally. I now have 1000 miles on it and yesterday I was on a beautiful straight road so I was running 80mph and I tapped it and it jumped like I had hit it running at 30mph. I don't know the top end and I really don't care. I would rather live to ride it at a safe speed. The web site says that rapped out with nothing left to give is 145mph out of the box. I do not know if that is true or not. The really wierd thing is the top gear, 5th gear. You can run very comfortably in 5th gear at 35 mph and it is good all the way up. Sincerely guys, it is really sweet. I never thought that cruise control made much sense on a bike but okay, I was wrong. Lock it in, sit back and hold on. I think that if I was traveling by myself I could ride for hours without getting tired and many, many miles..... BUT, BUT, BUT.....I look at your bikes and miss the classic motorcycle look. I do not think the Wing looks near as good as the Nomad but I am getting to the point where a lot of things are making up for it.

First , you haven't changed the avatar as I requested :(" title="" border="0"/>

Second, If you add two more wheels and a roof you got yourself a Volkswagen

Seriously Dan, Good luck with the new ride. Just remember it looks big to us but to some cage drivers it is still invisible!

Since there's no Gray Poupon, do you get flight attendant service with it? Dang that thing looks fancy.

Would not brag about the Goldwing over the Nomad. Nomad will remain King until I am told any different. OH, I forgot to tell you about the wet bar Nico. Margarita's are the only thing I stock in it though. Love Margaritaville.

Dan, I am looking forward to seeing you and that overly accessorized GW at the Rally in ES. Truthfully that is one of the few bikes I like other than my Nomad. Enjoy the new ride

Doesn't Pam Anderson have a lovely set of airbags too? Hmmm, maybe Dan needs a set like that.
