Not me, never done that.
I give Cindy my extra key 'cause she keeps some of her stuff in my saddlebags. I rode off with her key in the bag lock though

Ride off with your keys in your bag lock

Its an easy thing to do when you are on a long ride. Especially if you are multi-tasking during a food or fuel stop. I tend to ride with my ignition key on a lanyard around my neck that I tuck in my shirt. My wife has a spare key ring (with house key) with her. We've forgot and I got the ole nudge in the side to pull over to remove it.

Haven't done that but I checked into a motel & left the spare keys outside in the lock of the bag.

Yep, I did it two or three months ago. Drove right up to the gas station with the keys a jingling in the saddlebag lock. But, as I always say, if no one else saw it, it didn't happen.

;)

Done that twice! Once I left them in the saddlebag lock while I was at work for 8 hours. Doh!!! Just one in a long list of proud moments!!!

Yep I've done that one twice. Both in motel parking lots. Once for about 30 minutes in the early afternoon and once a couple of weeks ago all night long. Bike was under a cover and no one bothered it. Whew.

Never drove off with one in the bag lock. But, that seed is planted now.

I haven't ridden off with them in the bag lock, but I've opend the saddle bag at the gas station to get my wallet out, left them there and then began to panic when I couldn't find them in my pocket when I tried to open the fuel cap. Duh!

Done it dozens of times. That's why I don't have key thingy to fly around and scratch the bags.
