Touch-up paint?

Hi, it's the curious noob again

My front fender on my blue/silver '05 has a remarkable scratch that was already there when I bought her. Now it's time to take care of it, so I was wondering if Kawasaki touch-up paint is available, of would I have to settle with a close match for an automobile?

Thanks guys ~~~ Carsten

Touch-up paint?

I also have a nick in my gas tank, and since I have the fastest black color, I was told to try a Sharpie... doesn't make sense to me... but.... maybe for the short term?

Touch-up paint?

I believe Color-Rite has Kawasaki factory paint colors in their touch-up paint line up. http://www.colorrite.com/matrix-colo...TOKEN=70259352

Touch-up paint?

Moe, Be careful with the TU paint, a little nick or scratch might look better than, well maybe have more character than, what that paint might do unless extreme skill is used.

Touch-up paint?

Hi Ells, this is not a little nick, it's a blunt scratch the thickness of a Sharpie pen. I know the touch up leaves the surface uneven, I will be extra careful with it and use as little at a time as possible :)

Touch-up paint?

Good luck guys. I purchased the three pens; base coat, candy cardinal red, and clear coat for a small chip on my front fender. Cost $48 for the three pens. I followed the directions very carefully and applied all three. I ended up polishing it out. I found the chip was more appealing than the touch-up. Since then I have picked up another chip. That front fender is a magnet for little rocks.

Touch-up paint?

I also used the three pens (base, color, clearcoat). Use very little or it will look more like a scab. Worked real well on my bags but I used too much on my tank and it hid it but did not look very professional so I covered it with a Classic Chap. I kinda wished I used the spray instead of the pens but who knows...I might have screwed that up too.

Touch-up paint?

You can buy spray cans from them as well...just click the drop down window and it will give you several choices (pens, spray, jar, etc). The spray is even more spendy ...now I remember why I bought the pens!
