DYNO Run
Well I broke down and put my bike on a dyno they have at the local Friday Night bike night, here's what she wrote:
2006 Stock 1600 with no mods..... YET. I wanted to get a baseline so when i'm all done with bafflectomy, computer, Caddman Air mod, etc I'll know power wise if it's better or worse. DYNO Run
They're mathematically correcting the readings they took at the rear wheel to reflect approximately what's coming from the engine itself. They figure you're losing about 10~12 HP to run the transmission, bevel gears, and drive shaft.
One thing you'll need to know to make a really good comparison is what the air temperature, barometric pressure, and humidity was in the dyno room when they did the test. Those are things you can correct for mathematically, if you know what they are both before and after the mods. |
