Short Ride Today!

T'was 47 degrees today. Highways were clear. Put on the leathers, installed the Hippohands, and took off to Ft Dodge, IA. It was sure good to hear that highway sound. Logged in almost 50 miles. Hope to do some more tomorrow. It was a good day.

Fort Dodge!!??!! I usta go out there...been a couple of years...we test command and control software/hardware out at the 133rd Guard unit there

Love it when there is green corn in the fields and was always amazed at how black/rich the dirt was there:)

Yeah, Derry, sometimes you can almost hear the corn grow. The soil here is black and rich prairie sod. BnG

Oh Dave, I am so jealous! We are still weeks from getting anywhere close to riding here. It's been pretty nice here the past few days, but a winter storm is predicted for Monday. Hooray!

Yesterday was the first nice day in a long long time. It made 50* but my alley is gravel/mud and I decided not to mess up the bike. It's cold today, and it wouldn't be nice enough to clean it, so I passed on the ride. I have some goodies to put on the 800 in Davenport, and I'll do that and ride Tue. with a 64* day and a concrete alley.

Supposed to 64 here on Tues too. I think I might take a half day off to get a little ride in.

I could have rode on Sunday. It was mid 40's here but I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't ride until I changed the oil and then only to get the tires put on. So, Sunday I changed the oil. I am hoping that my beads will be here this week and I will try to take it in for tires Thursday or Friday if it is dry.

I got the Nad out today.......it was in the low 60's. I put about 70 miles on her before i put her back in the garage.....man it was good just to get out on the road :)

Funny how a guy can ride all summer and not get achy but a little ride when it is chilly and you feel like a zombie afterwards.

I rode to work thursday & friday . We got about 100 miles in saturday , it is getting closer .

Damn, I have to spend the next couple of weeks down in Clearwater Beach with the girls, but I'm going to be riding then and when I get home, I'll do the bike thing.
