Ok, so where are all the Aussies??

Y'know I've been strolling the boards for about 3 months and haven't heard hide nor hair from the people of the great southern land. Where are you guys? :-/ I know there are at least half a dozen registered and some would be sitting on the side. This is an international site so "Coowee" ;) get on board.

In time I hope to have enough Aussies and Kiwis to sit back and watch the sheep jokes take off :)

Jazz was here and going strong then disappeared. Wonder if he ever got the new bike put together. Must have and hasn't been back since. :(

I cant help myself,

Two Kiwis, Ian and Craig are walking down a street in Bondi near Sydney. Ian happens to look in one of the shop windows and sees a sign that catches his eye.

The sign said 'Suits $10.00 each, Shirts $4.00 each, Trousers $5.00 per pair'

Ian says to his pal, ' Craig, look! We could buy a whole lot of those, and when we get back to InZid, we could make a forchun Ayh. Now when we go into the shop, you be quiet, okay? Just let me do all the talkin cause if they hear our accint, they might not be nice to us. I'll speak in my best Aussie accint.'
'No worries, smiled Craig, I'll keep my mouth shut.'
They go in and Ian says, 'I'll take 50 suits at $10.00 each, 100 shirts at $4.00 each, and 50 pairs of trousers at $5.00 each. I'll back up my truck and...'

The owner of the shop interrupts, 'You're from New Zealand , aren't you?'

'Well... yes,' says a surprised Ian. 'How the hill dud you know that?'

The owner says, 'This is a dry cleaners’.

ps I know it's in the wrong Board, sorry

Hey Aj.. so, I sort of fit your description.. I'm an Aussie, but living in the US of A.

Living in Southern Cal about 18 months now. Originally from Sydney, but don't hold that against me as I lived in Melbourne for 2 yrs before coming over here and would prefer to go back to Melb over Syd any day.

Only had my Nomad about 3 months.. don't ride it much.. never see to have a free weekend.. so why did I buy it ??? Hmmm...

Anyway, I plan to return to Aus in a few year with Nomad, so maybe we can take a run around the bay someday.

You see many Nomads in Aus ?

Brian

p.s. love the joke.. can't leave without the opportunity to drop in a short one.. so why are there no Kiwi's in Star Trek ? .. 'cause they don't work in the future either

(hmm... are racial jokes against the rule of this forum... )

G'day B2, No probs about the Sydney thing. If the Yanks ( and others ) can be top blokes and treat us as well as this lot do then ehhh! Its us Nomaders against the world!!!! Sad to hear you don't ride as much as you would like. It would be great to take a run around the bay with you, lots of new things to see, plenty of new freeways etc. I did 200 k's up into the Dandenongs the other day and recon I passed 15 or more Nads.
Catch up soon
Aj

Aj.... you passed 15 Nomads on a 200km ride? Or is that an Aussie joke? lol

The only time I've seen that many Nomads in a day was at our Western Rally!

Could it be that Nomads are bigger sellers (per capita) in Australia than the U.S.?

(Or maybe Nads means something else in Ozzie talk) LOL ;)

That's funny. Kiwi jokes are probably okay here.

Yep, not a problem with the 15 (+ 2 we were riding) Nomads. I must admit it was a special day, the Govt opened a new toll road and it was free to use. There were thousands on it, mind you 29 klm of pure majic! We probably saw 200+ bikes all up. The road runs east west across Melbourne so is close to a big slice of the 2mill population.
I need a banner to drag about , it pays to advertise!!
KowaNOW - This way to heaven! or I could try Trips way of getting attention "FREE NOMADS" just ask rider!
For those who miss being home or would like to check it out http://www.eastlink.com.au/news-detail.aspx?newsid=29
Unfortunatly no Nomads in the pics, however the new Govt fleet of vehicles did get prominence! :-/
