I did that last I installed my 6.5's. I pulled the left speaker (the one not working) and the connector had come off. Plugged in and still enjoying the tunes!!

I set it up as 2 channel , sound only out of 1 speaker . Moved the input over and ditched to 4 channel and both worked. The only thing I can think of is maybe I have it wired wrong.

I had that happen once.

I somehow crossed one of the speaker wires going from 4 to 2 channels.

After taking it all apart and putting it back together everything was fine.

It sounds like one of the positive and negative speaker wires are crossed.

In 2 channel it's grounding out both front and rear, while in 4 channel it's fine.

Going from memory here, but I seem to recall someone else having an issue like this. The problem there was that the amp they had didn't use the left and right connections when the amp was bridged. It used front and rear. Sorry I can't recall anything more specific.
