RI sighting of Nomad today

Even before I bought my Nomad I've been looking for them on the road. Well, today I finally spotted one. I wanted to pull over to talk but the busy intersection and direction didn't allow that. It was black and silver. The driver and his female companion gave a big smile, as did I. Go Nomad!

Flavor, According to the dealer I purchased my Nomad from, they are big sellers down here. Trouble is I don't ever see any on the road. I guess there may be plenty of garage queens around here...

Is that like Harley bar hoppers? You know, 25 miles between stops for a hundred miles of total riding?

Flavor, I'm in Southeastern Massachusetts. I don't see too many of them either. I was in RI today, but it wasn't me you saw. I'm red and silver. Actually bought my bike at Razee's. Maybe we will cross paths some day.

RI sighting of Nomad today

I must be one of the lucky ones . I have 3 riding buddies that ride Nads that aren't Kawanow members (they all say they don't have time for a forum) ??? . I ride some with dkdixie and oldbiker(who now has a road-glide, but he's still a Nomader at heart) ;) . I spent this week in Pigeon Forge, and saw so many Nads that I lost count . On the way home, I swung through Deal's Gap, and saw 8 or 9, and got to talk with 3 of them. Day before yesterday, I went to the auto-parts store for an oil filter for my Nad, and saw one there, and passed another on the way home . I get contacts from the "Cruiser Customizing" web site, and I invite everyone I meet or talk to on the Internet to check out Kawanow and join up. All have been really great folks.

I have plenty of friends I ride with but none have a Nomad. Mostly Harley's. They've been busting my chops for years to buy a Harley (all in fun), to no avail. I've had all different kinds of motorcycles but refuse a Harley for various reasons.

Anyway, it's always nice to shoot the breeze with someone that has the same bike. This site is great for that reason as weel as the friendly atmosphere.

Hey Doc, I was one of the first ones to get a set about 2 1/2 years ago. My wife (who is long legged ) really does like them. they move the floorboard down about 2" and forward about 2 1/2", and tilt back to where she isn't sitting "flatfooted". She says she can ride longer without having to ask me to stop where she can stretch her legs. She also says they help A LOT when I have to use the brakes. I think I gave around $40 for them, but he told me the 2nd run was going to cost a little more. Here's the link to gadgets page where I found them
http://www.gadgetjq.com/1600_floorboardmod.htm
The only complaint I have with them is they take up a little of my leg room for pushing/backing while Im sitting in the saddle, but I have gotten so used to it, I don't notice it anymore.

RI sighting of Nomad today

I live in Charlotte, NC and see a fair amount of 'nads on the highways around here. As a matter of fact a few Saturdays ago we were riding on the backroads of VA outside of Martinsville. We were up there checking out Goosepoint campground. It was a blustery day. As we entered the back part of the cg I noticed another bike. Lo and behold, it was another Nomad. Memorial Day weekend we were up near Spruce Pine, NC and I saw a neat looking champagne colored 'nad that was set up with the Electra Glide fairing and rear bag. It looked great. I was in my pick up truck, because we were up there camping. So I wasn't able to acknowledge. They're out there. You just have got to look for 'em.....
