what would your 2nd bike be?

If I could ever afford to have 2 or even 3 bikes what would I get and why? I think my first choice would be the Suzuki V-Strom 650 because we have so many dirt roads in Vermont and lots of them in the hill country. Even though many are navigable on the Nomad I won't make the decision to attempt them. I have done so on other heavyweight cruisers and ended up in precarious situations where getting turned around on uneven or muddy ground was frustrating. The V-Strom 650 is almost as big as the 1000 which is like a friggin' hoss so it would be a good all-around bike for where I ive and best of all you just hose the dirt and mud off.
My second choice of an additional bike would be a Drifter 1500. I like the styling and would not put a windshield or saddlebags on it. I'd have a studded seat with fringe and would add studded mud flaps. For me it would be a "keep it simple" attention-getting show-bike that I would ride in the warmer weather when I was going to be home before dark (it can get pretty cold up here at night in the summer). It would my fun bike when I wanted to feel the wind on me and get noticed.

If money wasn't an object I'd get the red Ducati 848 I road tested yesterday. Otherwise it would be a 450 enduro. Not sure of make or model but something in that size. I rode a 450 open class Yamaha and was shocked at the HP they put out now. That bike would crush my desert racing XR 600R.

I'd probably have a custom chopper just for grins. Not at all practical, but fun to blaze around town on.

VN2K probably.

My third bike would be a sport-touring bike like the 1400 Connie.

4th bike would be an enduro. Probably a KLR650, because they are so cheap & reliable & easy to fix.

well my second bike is a bobbed 82 cb 750 honda, but its just for poker runs and having fun when my wife can go.

The nomad meets my need for touring now, so I would like to have me a nice streached out barhopping chopper that is just for looks

I'd go with a KLR 650. Big enough for highway running but a decent enough fire trail bike. Parts and accessories are plentiful enough too.

I would like a fast sportbike again like a Hyabusa or a Ninja 1400. Something that will push 200 mph. I still have a need for speed on occasion, but nothing like I used to when I was younger. My other choice would be an Indian or a 1500 Drifter.

KLR650. Great dual sport. Go anywhere and keep up with the big dogs on the highway. A friend has a rack on his to hold his fishing poles for when he goes to the coast 3 hrs away.

Something besides another Nomad, are you mad?! Actually the only other street bike I would want is not made yet, it would be the 2000cc Nomad, hard bags and all! I've ridden a ton of bikes in 40 years, hard to beat the Nad!

A bike for the wife will be my second. Something in the 500-900 range I'm sure.
