Irate Wash your hands!

So, I'm in a public restroom yesterday recycling some coffee and a guy half my age occupies the stall next to me. When I'm done I step back out of the way and proceed to tuck my shirt in.
The dude finishes and walks past me, and the sinks, and heads to the door.

I yell out "Hey, wash your hands." He stopped to turn and face me and I said it again in a less threatening voice, "wash your hands."

He turned and muttered something and headed to the door. I called out "What a pig". He never turned back to say anything but just kept on going. So, besides being a pig he is also a coward.

Guys like that are reasons why I don't go to self help salad bars anymore.

I travel a lot on the Mass Turnpike and when I stop at the rest areas I see lots of people go out without washing their hands. People don't realize that a simple washing of the hands can stop of the spread germs and illnesses.

Fortunately I keep hand wipes in my saddlebag and the car. My wife usually keeps them in her bag. I'm more concerned with the shopping cart handle.

agreed. another peeve is bathrooms with automatic soap dispensers, manual turn knobs, an automatic paper towel dispenser, and a f*$(ing closed door that every unwashed hand has touched.

that said, i still laugh when i think back to a disney land trip years ago. went to the inlaws hotel just after taking a shower. went in a took a leak real quick and without thinking just rinsed my hands without soap. my sister in law noticed and made sure to point out i need to use soap. i caught myself about to blurt out " i just washed it 20 minutes ago".

Think about that Bud every time you grab that door handle to exit the rest room when there are no paper towels. Another is a gas pump. That gun has to be the filthiest thing on earth.

Then theys the copy and fax rooms where all kinds of bumping and grinding goes on by Godd knows who, and nowhere to wash your hands.
I wont even dare touch the copy machine!

I have learned over the years not to pee all over my hands so I don't see the need.

Actually, I think that paper money is the filthiest thing. Paper fibers are a perfect environment for viruses and bacteria. Some can live on most surfaces for about 48 hours, but paper money can reportedly transport a live flu virus for up to 17 days. With the gross stuff you can find on money, getting a flu would be the least of your worries.

Personally I never use the condiment containers at restaurants. You can often see how disgustingly dirty they are. I always wash my hands, or use alcohol wipes, after handling the menu. I use a paper towel to open a bathroom door and if there are no paper towels available I will use the bottom of my shirt to grab the handle.

I once confronted a Dunkin Donuts employee for not changing gloves between handing money and food. I watched her take my cash, give me change and proceed to make my sandwich, all while wearing the same pair of gloves. As I watched her all I could picture was some slob dropping a deuce, not washing his/her hands and then fondling that same $5 dollar bill that I had just given to the DD employee. It grossed me out to no end.

My dad taught me not to pee on my hands and when I download it is in the toilet and not on me, plus if done right there is toilet paper between me and the source. Not so with you and those door handles, shopping carts, ketchup... Having said that, always wash after the download is complete just in case.
