Hey welcome!
I'm also a VROCer but really enjoy this Nomad specific forum.
Now for an ignorant question on my part...where do I find the serial number? ???
Is it part of the VIN?

I sold my 99 long ago ( I think that there were some 98's)

Mine was early enough to have the pain in the ass, hard to look at, oil sight glass. later 99's had it in the location that it presently is in.

That early locations was truly a pain.

Hey cool pics. I think everyone should go ahead and post up their number maybe we can find a brother or sister. My dad has a forum for his 68 dodge charger and found the car right after his. Lemme go look......

11095. You've definitely got mine beat. Is yours a 98?
Couldn't get away from work for Custer. I don't think we've met apart from from forum posts, but would like to remedy that! :)
I've seen alot of pictures of you and yours from Sherm's posts. Sure feels like we've met!

I think mine is the prototype they tested in Tucson in 1998 and featured in several motorcycle magazines.....I bought it from a fella (Sniper) in Tucson that said the dealer sold it to him with 3000 miles on the ODO that were from factory and Magazine test rides...

Welcome Jack. I am also a fellow VROC'r. We did meet in Custer. Enjoyed the talk with you and wonderful wife Barb.

Must have had one of the first orders in for a serial number like that.

I really enjoyed the pics. Where did Karl get the baby Nomad? LOL!
Nice idea about sequenced bikes keeping contact. Family oriented. '07 #11362

Hey, Jack, welcome to KawaNOW. I didn't last long over at the VROC forums myself. Mostly I hung out at Motorcycle-USA and Delphi until I joined here.

I'll still go to HSVROC in Topaz, but this year we're going to Zion with the KawaNOW guys, as it happens to fall on the same dates. You've probably already got reservations in Topaz, or else I'd twist your arm to ride Zion with us.

Best, Cadd.

PS: Post up some photos of your bike. These guys will appreciate your painting talents.

Welcome 4E, that sounds a little like a US military draft status... I'm sure you are taking good care of that bike, it is a piece of history here. My '05 ser# is 01874, not sure where that might rank in series of the 1600's, maybe 1874th.
