Highway pegs for Vaquero

I have been researching different highway peg options for a 2011 black Vaquero but am still unsure what to get. I have short legs so it seems I would want the pegs to be mounted as far back as the rear brake pedal most likely. How far do pegs using the crash bar & kuryakyn longhorn mounts come back? I have also seen (and discussed with OldBear) the option of using a floorboard mount system. I have also read where the weight of mounts on the floorboard have caused the floorboard to sag and also scrape sooner in a turn. These things aren't cheap so I want to make sure I get what will fit me best. Pictures of what you guys with Vaquero's use would be great. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Jerry

I have long legs and tried the floorboard mounts and found they interfered with my feet coming off the boards at a stop. I sold those and got some for the engine guard and they work great for me. I don't think the bar mounts would swing back far enough if you have short legs. Good luck.

Check with Kuryakyn. They make a variety of off-set mounts for pegs.

Should come back almost 4 inches. Keep getting message that my forum has disabled image sharing for this app so can't attach anything from my phone. I'll attach one later at home.

My bad. Phone settings were wrong. You could rotate out straight and attach lower down the crashbar.

Kuruakyn makes a "Longhorn" offset mount that will give you 6 1/2" range of adjustment.

Those are pretty cool old bear. Never seen those ones before. They let you stretch out pretty good. I have a set mounted on my crash bars but I'm not real fond of them. Looks like those just bolt onto your floorboards? Might have to do some looking.

Ok, I installed the Kuryakyn 4579 floorboard mounts with the Kury 8002 Large Iso pegs. The mounts came with two spring type metal washers that I am assuming are meant to go on the bolt that attaches the 8002 peg mount to the floorboard offset mount attachment. I had a heck of a time getting both washers in at the same time but with only one installed, the peg was able to flop around. With both in the peg had enough tension to stay up when you needed it to. I need to make further adjustments which will require me to remove these washers and I am definitely not looking forward to it again. Am I missing something or is there a 'trick' to installing these spring washers? The instructions didn't help with these at all.

Also, is there a way to make these pegs angle inwards some towards the rider rather than sitting 90 degrees perpendicular to the bike?

Thanks again,

Jerry

Pic of the spring washers:

Pic after initial adjustment. I only installed one of the two washers. Not sure if second washer needed or not:
